I've only had a couple of smoothies, but I did enjoy them. There's a restaurant near work that sells them; I've been meaning to go back but they're a bit expensive.

I think you're supposed to make them with condensed milk, like this:

    http://www.vietworldkitchen.com/blog/2007/07/avocado-shake.html

But I did something more like this, with yoghurt, and I think I left the honey out:

Check out the reviews :) I didn't add the ice, so it was very thick. Ice is probably a good idea.

Woo avocado + banana in *every* form. Here are a couple more:

- PASTA: sundried tomato, olives, avocado (diced), cheese, basil, oil, tossed through spaghetti. Warm it up, but don't let it cook.
- AVOCADO: with cracked pepper, scooped straight out of the shell.
- SMOOTHIE: I don't care if you're not in the mood or whatever; avocado smoothies are amazing. Make one, and serve it next to nasi goreng.
- BAGEL: Moosh avocado onto a toasted bagel, then top with *hot* salsa and a poached egg.

Nice!

My experiment tonight was a bit of a failure: I tried to make coconut bread, by adding coconut milk powder to tortilla dough. It turned out exactly like regular tortillas (not sure where the coconut went), except that they tore apart too easily. They were very soft, though, which was kind of cool.

Ooooh konbu and adzuki. I like the way you think!

The wee peanut is not so horticulturally inclined, but she is very keen on the security side of things and constantly updates us on the ongoing status of the street. And she hangs around looking forlorn because she knows there is no bowl of shakshouka for her.

Looks good! I sometimes poach eggs in my tomato sauces, but I didn't know what it was called.

I made a stew on Sunday - the first of the season! Adzuki beans, konbu (seaweed), cabbage, tomato, potato and other stuff. It was great!

I see you still have the wee peanut of cuddles and wags. That's good. Does it help you dig holes in the garden?

Looks good! I've been experimenting with eggs too. Ever wonder why jaffles are so amazing? It's because they're poached *and* fried. Our jaffle iron scares me, so I came up with this method:

- Butter bread on one side.
- Place butter-side down in a frying pan on low heat.
- Crack an egg over the top (or top with whatever you like; tomato works well too).
- Put the lid on, and leave for 5-or-so minutes.

I'm keen to try it also with uncooked bread - you know, throw some dough in there, add toppings, cover and wait. Maybe that's how focaccia is made? Who knows!
